Gutted to hear the news about John Douglas of trashcan sinatras. Of course I've been a fan since the band's very first album and been a part of their online fanbase for just about as long online fanbases have been a thing.
Shocked to hear about John Douglas of the Trashcan Sinatras passing. I saw him with his wife, Eddi Reader at Masham Town Hall in May, and it was lovely late spring evening. Hinting at the summer to come. You could feel the love and respect between, them making it a joyful, memorable show. RIP.
Someone missed a trick that Mo Gilligan’s Netflix documentary where he eats fried chicken three times a day for a month isn’t called Supersize Mo.
Douglas Fairbanks clears a table as he duels Noah Beery in THE MARK OF ZORRO (1920), his first full-costume swashbuckler. Doug's brother, Robert, acted as a stunt coordinator and propmaster, lowering the table slightly to make the leap look even more impressive.

I’m as tight as two coats of paint so naturally appalled at how much people are spending here. Had to check what I spent last week, around £130, around half on night out on Friday. Wondering if we’re unusual as we have a joint account, not just one for expenses. www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

Rachel forked out £700 for beauty treatments, Kojo confessed to a £25 cigarette habit, and Jake indulged his love of fancy timepieces. Were their other halves forgiving or furious?

Gutted, but not surprised to hear that Kevin Keegan has died. That ‘The Entertainers’ never won the league was the great lost opportunity in football but damn, he made watching them fun.

R.I.P., Sam Neill, and thanks for a rollicking interview that went from “Please don’t mention that ever again, don’t even inquire about it, if you continue to try and find it, I will hunt you down” to “You’re very knowledgeable, aren’t you?” Although it’s that first bit that’s really stays with me…

My random Sam Neil story. An actor friend of mine was cast in a small role on Peaky Blinders. Never receives his script pages. Discovers his role has been pushed to non speaking background, which is less fun/less money. Sam Neil spots him looking dejected on set and finds out.
