Passed by the old Powerplant from my very first photopack and which is now in the process of being torn down. Very weird to see this but cool nonetheless :)

In Mario Kart: Double Dash, shadows in the environment do not follow any kind of lighting logic and appear to have been placed solely based on "vibe". This results in shadows being cast in nearly every possible direction at the same time.
Everyone hates it when their opponent just leaves the game before it's over, so I've been trying to find ways to soften the blow a little bit. #fightinggame #gamemaker #indiedev
long hair is great because you get to step out of the shower and anxiously wonder if it's normal to shed this much and spend the rest of your life subtly haunted by the fear that you're unknowingly doing something horrible to it
truly the thing that stands out with Doom (and Half Life, and Quake, and Marathon, and--) is that we used to let level designers be bastarding little tricksters in a way that even the Good Level Design shooters of the 2010s onwards forgot
y'all ever just fucken play.... DOOM (1993)? y'all heard of this??
Watched Captain America 2 with Maddie. Washington DC looks like a fake city. Every building looks like it was built with the expectation that you'd never see it up close. I bet the textures are blurry.
there's a player in this Strive tournament called GaySexLegend and the commentators won't stop abbreviating their name to GSL. disrespectful imo.
PARKSIDE: DECAYED SOUL MANIPULATION IS OUT NOW ON STEAM Shoot, hack, and either save or sour the future of humanity in the dystopian city of Abbotsford, California in the awful year of 2038. Will you serve the Divine Rod? LINK IN COMMENTS #gamedev #indiegame #immersivesim
Nothing compares to the rush of clicking on a glowing orb and being met with a hearty "donk" in response
Happy late birthday to Dawn of Darkness, a Quake 2 mod I contributed to when I was a high school teen I only just learned today that some on the team would later make Control & Wolfenstein The New Order?? Some of my favorite games!!!!!! I made this very cool airship for the mod:
the more I shop around the more I understand the stereotype of the trans woman in doc martens because where the hell else are you supposed to get decent boots in Tall Girl Sizes
the problem with having a shared diet of brainrot is eventually you and your partner develop an inscrutable shared language where you say shit like "the pan on the stove is charles leclerc" and you both just nod sagely
saw someone ask if Tokon was a good entry-level fighting game and I dunno how to answer that because like... sure, you have simplified inputs and autocombos, but the game also feels like such an overstimulating information overload with weird opaque rules for when you can and can't do stuff, so ????
the human body is a miraculous thing. it can manifest bruises anywhere, any time, for no reason at all.
This little project that was supposed to be out in a year is out now, 6 years later. It took a while but it’s great. It’s a whole new full length campaign for Quake with 32 maps and a completely new soundtrack, aimed at being compatible with winquake. I made a few maps for it. youtu.be/ViJMgLNLW08

looking for a programmer to make a BSP lightbaker through the GPU using ericwtools methods. no genAI. let me know your rate, I'll save up. github.com/ericwa/ericw... making a game in the quake engine and it'd be real good to have, and good for the community.
taking a bold approach to lighting called "nobody can complain about repeating textures if they can't see shit"
[dropping c.viper inputs] i'm trash. my inputs are trash. my fingers are trash. anyone could do this clean. only I personally could fumble such an easy high jump cancel. [watching world-class tournament players drop c.viper inputs] maybe I'm not the problem actually
