This sucks ass. When I start my car I want to be able to put my foot on the pedal and drive off. I dont want to watch an ad. A distracting ad. Right in the middle of my console. Again. This sucks ass.

Chinatown "bike lanes" working like total ass, as intended. Meanwhile, the sidewalks are always full of pedestrians. Wentworth should be a pedestrian street. It was fully jammed with cars around lunch today.

One of the most frustrating things on social media is the idea that all "rule-breaking" on the roads is equal. Sure, cyclists do run stop signs and pedestrians "jaywalk" (scare quotes because jaywalking is bullshit), but those are not the same as drivers running reds or trucks blocking bike lanes!

Been seeing these PSAs from the City of Chicago lately. It seems that the tragic death of Riley O'Neil has reawakened many to the risks posed by distracted drivers. But this ad campaign must not take the place of a roadway infrastructure built with cycling safety in mind.

This portrayal of cyclists as some kind of woke menace to the common sense motorist will result in someone getting killed because a driver doesn't see why they should show even the minimum of consideration. The situation is bad enough as it is. I'm not even a cyclist and I can see that.
