I got asked earlier where my bsky.social name came from. So: I think black holes are mind blowing and fascinating things, I love Soundgarden and think Black Hole Sun is their worst song, and I love dad jokes/puns because they are the good response to the absurdity of the world. Yes, I'm that boring.
What the actual fuck are people talking about with El-Sayed's margin being a disappointment? It wouldn't have been a disappointment if he lost by 5 with the ridiculous amount of outside money that got put against him. I hope a bunch of old guys in Congress are quaking in their boots.

Cameron is the bearded man with glasses in the middle, and Void's new edit now puts the logo on his polo. My foreground description was wrong.
More to the point, if you're a politician, you should pay really close attention to history for what happens when the people believe nothing matters or can be done. A switch flips. Might I suggest reading about late 18th century France. Or Mid-1940s Italy.

If I were a billionaire I'd spend all my money inventing a device where I could just constantly whisper things like "They're all laughing at you, Donny" and "They know you're a joke" and "You're going to be remembered as worse than Joe Biden" into his ear as he falls asleep 100 times a day.
Something I wish I had known earlier. Even if I never have to use it, it is awesome to learn new tricks and ideas. Heck of a good video.

Had to do an IT thing earlier for the first time in many years. Issue: computer reliably hard shuts off randomly, every few minutes. Spent hours with it, ran a full stress test, every forcing thing you can imagine, pushed it to 200 degrees, RAM full. Nothing. Still got the IT guy juice, basically.

As everyone is up in arms about Flock and Meta Ray Bans, now is a good time to remember that you should also never SMS anyone. Yes, even if you think you're boring and have nothing to hide. But especially if you're not boring and are discussing anything important.
I mean this in all seriousness, this is a severely mentally ill & delusional person who not only should be removed from office under the 25th amendment, but he should be in a psych ward. This is pure insanity on so many levels. He lives in a fantasy world. He is unwell & has lost touch with reality.
Re: Max Miller. Something that I genuinely believe the vast majority of us know to be true, from personal experience. And why it falls flat and he will eventually be forced from the race. His comments are Knowing Abuser 101. It's all about control and their own pathetic unhappiness.

As if any of us who experienced abuse from a loved one didn't want to forgive them and have them be better, and finally had to decide how many times we were willing to cry into our pillows or obliterate the world with drugs.
I'm not sure folks have realized just how crazy the second half of 2026 and 2027 will be for global temperatures – on the back of a record-smashing El Niño event. Here is my latest estimate of where both years will end up compared to global temperatures since 1850.
Ok, ok, hear me out: we sign everyone in their leadership up for a year of Comcast cable service. Or deliver 1000 White Castle sliders to their staff the night before their next meeting.
