Bigger, bolder, and glossier than its competition, Newtype USA was easily among the most popular anime publications in the west before suddenly going out of print in 2008.

Took time, patience, a fair amount of luck, and a little $$$, but I've managed to get a PAL LaserDisc copy of Robotech: The Movie passed through a Domesday Duplicator. Not *perfect* (at least visually), but it didn't need to be. The audio however, is what makes it all worthwhile...

Well, a ton of Discotek stuff is OOP now. I'm especially sad to see Saint Tail & Lady Georgie on this list, as they're some of the rare shoujo titles they've picked up, and it doesn't seem like they were really out that long! 😭 So snag em if you find em while you can, I guess....
