As Me & Roboco is two chapters away from #300 I want to do an overview of Shonen Jump's history with 300th Chapters. Only 25 (single-run) manga have done so in the magazine. No, SungWon is absolutely correct here. The insistence on sticking with the Japanese title when there is already a perfectly acceptable English one is utterly asinine. Nobody does this in Japanese literature, or film, or any other art form. It's just the anime nerds who insist on being obtuse.

Up next on the shorter manga train is another title I got all of long ago, but simply never actually read until just now: Ninja Baseball Kyuma! This is a literal kids' manga released in 2009/2010 by Udon during their attempt at a literal "Manga for Kids" label, which is admittedly rare to see here.

The literacy crisis is not just referring to people's ability to literally read and write. It's also people's inability to read for context. I've been a public educator for over 20 years and I have never, ever seen it this bad.
