🍩🍽️ Last week, a LA donut shop opened across the street from Stan’s Dontus, a family owned since the 1950’s. The citizens have made their choice and in doing so Stan’s is forced to ration donut orders to only 1 dozen per person. Sorry NO donuts at Bookclub today 😭

on the THIRD iteration of map installation/updating because North America got installed as a blob rather than separate regions which means I can't install anything else. AND, I can't delete a region w/in NA, just the whole thing. so I did. but I need the West Coast, so here we go.

While it was invented in 1960, the birth control pill didn’t get widespread availability to unmarried people in the US until 1972. If we count it in the 1969+ camp, I’d say the ability of women to control their own fertility changed the world more radically than almost anything else.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time.
