In early 2025, I assumed the Trump regime would delete the Department of Justice’s press releases and other statements related to more than 1,000 Jan. 6 cases. So I downloaded them. We’ve now made them available to the public with a search tool. They can’t erase history. jan6memoryproject.org

This is pathetic. Ukraine tested Starlink speed restrictions in Europe and had no issues - the restrictions only exist in Ukraine. The Trump administration is actively helping Russia kill Ukrainians - and risking the lives of US and NATO advisors in Ukraine.

And it’s full of lies, by the way. Schools DO have a legal obligation to prevent rape. It’s in case law. It’s in Title IX regulation. Using ATIXA (or TNG) should be a massive liability to schools. This consulting firm flagrantly encourages them to break the law.

I worked with—and deeply admired—Helen for almost 30 years. She was hands down *the best source* about emerging infectious diseases that I've ever known. My first warning of COVID was when on Dec 28, 2019 she reposted a ProMED mail report of an atypical pneumonia cluster: "This doesn't look good."

Helen Branswell, whose reporting on infectious diseases and public health drew acclaim, dies at 69

No amount of support for Russia can end the war, because Russia is the criminal aggressor. A modicum of support for Ukraine could, however, end the war, by making it impossible for Russia to continue. This should not be a hard choice.

⚡️ "Give us Starlink, open it for us on Russian territory, and we will destroy his ballistic missile launchers," Zelenskyy stressed that stopping Russian ballistic launches would force Vladimir Putin to negotiate, rendering further energy strikes unnecessary.

New Marist poll of Texas finds 61% say undocumented immigrants should stay in US if meet certain requirements. Only 35% say they should leave. A majority of noncollege white men (Trump base) says stay. Supports my case (see piece/thread below) that Trump opened way for new pro-immigrant consensus

The other day, Talarico leaned hard into the case for immigration as a positive good for our country in a way you rarely hear from Dems. He has a real theory of the case: Trump's cruelty and barbarism have opened space for new moral arguments, a new consensus. 2/ newrepublic.com/article/2160...

Case now goes to the OH Supreme Court but the ruling is a big deal. The fact that vouchers mostly fund kids already in private school could turn out to be a big legal liability because it’s what sets up a separate state system. www.dispatch.com/story/news/e...

Ohio appeals court says private school vouchers are unconstitutional

Being GenX/Millennial is such a trip. In our lifetimes, we saw people our age getting wild criminal penalties for pirating music and now have to sit and watch as companies gobble up our work with impunity.
