Where I live there has been one rink built in the last 25 years, and we have several living on borrowed time. You want healthy kids? Build the infrastructure
Watching the Jays offence tonight and pondering the fact that Joey Votto twice went entire seasons without popping up to the infield. He didn’t pop up to a first baseman until his 13th season in the league, in his 6,829th plate appearance.
Spencer Arrighetti is a strong return for two months of Daulton Varsho. He has club control through the end of the 2029 season and has options remaining. If the #BlueJays can get him in the zone and turn him into a usable depth starter, that's a real win.
After that throw, maybe not so much
