as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.

"Making fees voluntary, at least nominally, could be a way out of the impasse, although an implied threat of Iranian attacks could mean shippers would be unlikely to risk transit without paying."

I was surprised by how much I loved this series. After having run an animation studio for 10 years, I don't often watch cartoons any more, but this one is a love letter to Star Trek, and it's immensely funny, especially if you're a Berman era fan.

Thats the power of lower decks, it brings people to Star trek who couldn’t get into it with the normal shows, her favorite is Tendi ❤️

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com · 2d agoFYI: Blanche rescinded the ORDER establishing the slush fund, not the underlying “settlement.” The settlement says any changes must be agreed to by ALL parties, not just Todd. This “rescission” isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.
Blanche and Trump will ignore the pledge and implement the slush fund anyway. Cornyn and Tillis are being played as suckers.

John Cornyn and Thom Tillis said they are prepared to offer their support for Todd Blanche’s nomination to become the next attorney general after he formally rescinded a key aspect of President Trump’s controversial deal with the IRS.
BREAKING: Todd Blanche has released what he calls a rescission of the slush fund (left). The last lawsuit he mentions is mine (Gill v DOJ). This doesn't change the fact that the "settlement" setting up the fund is still in effect. On the right, Blanche is LEAVING IN PLACE Trump's tax immunity.
