And he's using a comparison between cis men and cis women to make an argument against trans women. One of the goals of these types of stunts is to get people to broadly accept the idea that cis men and trans women are the exact same. And you can't have a conversation that starts there.
Cis men are not the exact same as trans women, and trans women are not the exact same as cis women. If people want to have discussions about who can play at what level under what conditions, they should do that. But this isn't about sports, it's about pushing anti-trans sentiment broadly.
the best HS teams in the country have multiple guys who will be in the NBA in a couple of years. they aren't normal high schools, they're basketball factories. but this literally doesn't matter. the value of women's sports isn't contingent on their performance vis a vis men.

We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
Conversely, there is nothing that El-Sayed can do to cure the anti-Muslim poison in Stevens's followers on his own. He cannot unbe who he is. He's not going to apologize for opposing genocide, nor should he. It's entirely up to the loser to heal the divide. It's not AES's party loyalty to be proven
