Corporate spending on elections has already topped $500 million this year. That's one third of the $1.58 billion in total that corporations have spent since Citizens United in 2010. Hawaii and Montana both have plans to neutralize this disastrous SCOTUS ruling. Other states must get on board.

Our flight from Seattle to Sacramento was delayed by a few hours last night, but we were rewarded with an epic sunset on Tahoma (Rainier) as it poked through the low stratus layer. The pastel peach backdrop was made possible by the horrific wildfire smoke from all the PNW fires.

Stratovolcanonpops out of clouds and is bathed in sunset warm peach glow.

Don’t get a lot of these guys in my backyard so when one appeared this morning close enough to take a video, I had to jump on the opportunity. Adorable lil yellow floofy bird, the Pine Warbler🥰

Mount Rainier reflected on Tipsoo Lake at Chinook Pass This was taken during morning blue hour, just before the alpenglow began. The lake was perfectly flat with no wind, creating a beautiful reflection of Mount Rainier and the surrounding trees.

Mount Rainier rises above a dark evergreen forest and is reflected in the calm blue water of Tipsoo Lake. Small white, yellow, and blue wildflowers fill the shoreline beneath a clear early-morning sky. The peaceful symmetry makes me feel grateful for the natural beauty of Washington.

I wonder of there were as many blueberries on the top of Mount Monadnock before humans burnt it to the ground (twice) as there are now. Before humans burnt Mount Monadnock (twice), there was a red spruce forest on top of it.
