Just going to say here, I think I've said this before, a 'historically accurate' version of the Odyssey is not possible because the Odyssey does not take place in a historical setting - it takes place in a fantastical pastiche of four centuries, mixed in with gods and monsters.

@fredwoehrle.bsky.social · 3w agoThe Supreme Court didn't "end" affirmative action. It declared it illegal in college admissions in 2023. Things do not magically "end" when they are made illegal. Theft has been illegal for millennia, but it happens all the time. So does racial discrimination in admissions.
