To explain what the marshals have trackside: it's a control system used for each flag that activates the light panels. The marshal in charge of T9 pressed the single yellow button as Verstappen had his accident. It took Race Control 15 seconds to override and turn to double yellows. #F1 #AustrianGP

Well this could get interesting. The Alpine petition for a right of review has been deemed admissible, so Gasly's penalties will now be reviewed #F1

Takes some truly astounding brain-dead journalism to rework "trying not to give everyone else this horrible cold" into "refusing to re-enter society".
One of the reasons why I go so hard on science misinformation/disinformation, is that as a working scientist it is frustrating to see your research misreported to push an agenda. For example, consider this piece of right-wing propaganda from The Telegraph that was just published

If I’m understanding correctly, we now have a verb called overtake (for overtaking) and a noun called Overtake (using Overtake™ to overtake)

Passed my driving test today 🥳 which started out with me having to drive the examiner to a different building a couple of blocks away, because the toilets in the exam building weren't working. One of the technical questions was "can you honk the horn?" Comedy script of an exam. But I passed!
Sorry but can you imagine looking in the eyes of an early hominid as its consciousness is being born in a cavalcade of desperately earned synaptic flickers and chemical astoundments and tell yourself, 'the rightful replacement of all this wonder is a computer program that can't understand plurals'
