Real politics hours: it's funny how many Marxist-Leninists don't actually believe in Communism. The ideology starts and stops at the command economy ran by a single-party government. I have no qualms in calling these people fascists LARPing as leftists, waiting for the day they get to point the gun
This sucks for many reasons. But I think it's worth emphasizing how selfish and duplicitous it is to go work with a public-facing, community-focused media org like MinnMax without disclosing this part of your past to them. (MinnMax confirmed to me they were not told.) Please support them if you can

tpwrtrdmn@tpwrtrmnky.bsky.social · 3w agoIf you're a fan of a big media property, a really dedicated and invested fan, you have to learn to respond to criticism of that thing in a calm and reasonable manner rather than as a personal attack. In fact, you should learn to do the criticism yourself, without feeling embarrassed for liking it.

the only threats "AI" poses to society are when people put it in charge of things that require thought, or crash the economy over it, or destroy the environment to power it. but it's people doing all of those things. AI poses zero threat by itself as it cannot do anything due to not existing

I'm surprised people unironically use art servers for things like feedback. I feel like it'd be nearly impossible to get any good knowledge on Discord given regular channels, threads, and forums all suck at the kinda feed you'd need to make this work
