More concerning, I looked at the Privacy Policy on the volunteer Web portal. Personal info of volunteers may be used to "encourage you spiritually," shared with third parties, including third parties outside of Canada, and shared with employees in order to "maintain our relationship to you"? Um
I have made it clear that I don’t believe it’s acceptable to welcome an organization that is 1) clearly homophobic and 2) has on multiple occasions rejected volunteers who don’t share their statement of faith. It would not be safe for my own family to accept help from this organization.
So disappointed in @seandevine9.bsky.social the councilor for my old ward. He's done some good things there but this is such a lapse of judgement. Hate is hate, and doing good doesn't exonerate a group. There are much better ways to get your residents the help they need.
