I can finally share the thangs I been working earlier this year. I applied to an artist call for concert posters for Stern Grove Festival, and the marketing team matched me up with Bomba Estéreo and La Misa Negra. They also asked me to make some cartoony graphics for their kids merch.

A whimsical collaboration between myself and local youth lit org 826 Valencia in San Francisco. This collection of bilingual stories feature bears riding BART, wizards, anthropomorphic tacos and boxes. This was such a fun project for my inner child 💖

Lord… I was checking out a negative comment for “Leo: A Ghost Story” and I will never understand why people need to use the internet to insult a child’s intelligence or their innate sense of whimsy when it comes to creating imaginary friends.

The San Jose Zine Library has a busy June! June 7th we’ll be at Sonora Pride at the Motherlode Fairgrounds in Sonora, CA. We’re also volunteering with Bay Area Queer Zine Fest at Fremont Pride on June 13th (10-2 at the Fremont Main Library) — we’ll bring the library with us! Free Zines!

Background is a vintage photograph of clouds; they are turned vertically. Light blue and white puffy clouds. On top is text in Crass style font. The top reads June Schedule. Below is a schedule of upcoming San Jose Zine Library events in light blue textboxes with a 5 pixel black outline. There are black stars clipart as decor

Caught the “time to make a kid’s book” bug again, but this time I’m actually a parent lol The first book I collaborated on was with a dope Spanish immersion teacher, who became my friend in the process.

A belated Mother’s Day comic that I wasn’t intending on becoming one. During one post-shower session I was doing my hair routine and serenaded by my kid in a pseudo-black metal voice though the toilet paper roll. S/o to the enby moms, trans moms, and all who identify as a mom.

Forget this being “nice weather” in the Bay. It’s Spring and it’s NOT supposed to feel like September-October (yes, in the Fall it’ll typically be the warmest time of the year). I need Karl the Fog and not war crimes that pollute the planet.

Making myself available to do 5 Casita Portraits each month for as long as I can. Gonna be investing more time into art making since it might not return to teach at the art school anymore since it got bought out. Sad but I’m ready to keep moving on. ✍🏽 Read below if you’d like a custom drawing.
