(Re-uploaded with improved video quality and an error fixed.) Here's the spiral staircase scene from Ys III: Wanderers from Ys across the different versions of the game. For some reason, this scene isn't included in the Famicom and PS2 releases. #Falcom #Ys

I like playing deus ex because if I was a paramilitary cyborg who could turn invisible and punch through walls I would 100% use those powers to read all of my neighbor's emails about their late gym membership payments or whatever

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

why are some of the old language poets leaning so hard into AI. is it just because they felt on the cutting edge back when timing text animations in Flash was the thing and are scrambling to get that feeling back. feels like a real spit in the face.

is there even a rational argument against pirating AAA games now? they fire everyone who works on new ones immediately upon release, and they lock away anything over 5 years old for a terrible remaster moneygrab

Its difficult to put my my anger over this into words. The modern Backrooms was born from the collective effort of thousands. That collaboration, all that passion/time was freely given because it made people happy. Now its being monetized. Its exactly like Ai and the internet.

It's been rad watching iterations of this game grow and refine over the last year-or-so of going to my local game dev night -- congrats on the upcoming release!

Today we have something special: a newly translated interview from July 1996 between Shigeru Miyamoto and Kenji Eno! Conducted just weeks after the launch of Mario 64, Eno takes Miyamoto to task (in a friendly way) with several fascinating critiques of its design. shmuplations.com/miyamotoxeno/

Since the spring of 2023, I have been creating a non-violent art museum in Doom. My goal was to find art that engaged with the themes that informed Doom's creation, while also exploring the possibilities of virtual museum spaces. Please enjoy this museum. Download link below

Strolled around the highly literary campus of St. John's College yesterday, very tickled by how the Shakespearean naming conventions of some buildings led to the text on this fire department connection sign

A fire department connection pipe. The sign reads "THIS FDC FEEDS MIRANDA AND PROSPERO"
