I’m on a small-ship Alaska cruise with my son; our boat rescued a stranded vessel last night and apparently we did that after the Coast Guard radioed Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht - which was closer - and they repeatedly refused to respond. (There was near unanimous booing when the captain announced this)
So @marypeltola.com ‘s plan for affordable energy is drill baby drill and full steam ahead with AKLNG. One will hasten the destruction of our environment. The other will never happen, and even if it does there’s zero chance it will reduce energy prices. Shitty plan Mary. #akleg

Scapegoats are emotionally cheaper than systems. Blaming the left asks nothing of you. It feels good and righteous and right. Asking whether your institutions and your party failed you requires dismantling beliefs you have spent your lifetime building. That is emotionally expensive.

Excellent reason to vote no on ballot measure 2. Without dark money disclosures, Alaskans will never know who is attempting to buy your vote.

JKT released that plan the morning he knew that multiple news stories were going to break on his funding. I’d take that with a grain of salt. It was clearly a higher priority for him than the other candidates for PR purposes *bc he took so much money from them*. Do versus say? Do matters more.

Anecdotally, it looks like Alaska is purging naturalized citizens from the voter rolls, claiming that they're not American. It happened to my partner and to other people she knows. So know that when you see US gov't claims about non-citizens found on the voting rolls, know that it's bullshit.
