I’m on a small-ship Alaska cruise with my son; our boat rescued a stranded vessel last night and apparently we did that after the Coast Guard radioed Mark Zuckerberg’s yacht - which was closer - and they repeatedly refused to respond. (There was near unanimous booing when the captain announced this)

So @marypeltola.com ‘s plan for affordable energy is drill baby drill and full steam ahead with AKLNG. One will hasten the destruction of our environment. The other will never happen, and even if it does there’s zero chance it will reduce energy prices. Shitty plan Mary. #akleg

🚨NEW PLAN: Making energy affordable for Alaskans. Alaska has always been a leader in energy production. So as DC price hikes create an energy catastrophe for Alaskans, I have a plan to invest in Alaska energy, bring down costs, create more opportunity, and grow our economy.

Scapegoats are emotionally cheaper than systems. Blaming the left asks nothing of you. It feels good and righteous and right. Asking whether your institutions and your party failed you requires dismantling beliefs you have spent your lifetime building. That is emotionally expensive.

"There are other capable progressives weighing a run in 2028," writes @sunraysunray.bsky.social. "However, none of them can do the two things AOC can do at once: run a serious national campaign as one of the most recognized figures in the country, and pull an entire movement into being behind it."

The congresswoman can run a serious national campaign on the left and pull a movement in behind it. She should get in early

want to be clear there are absolutely big differences b/t Dems & GOP, don’t ascribe to all-the-same, and that said, it’s awfully telling how many high profile Dems now profess to prefer a Republican in office than a progressive and how that appears to be driven by who is closer to their values

JKT released that plan the morning he knew that multiple news stories were going to break on his funding. I’d take that with a grain of salt. It was clearly a higher priority for him than the other candidates for PR purposes *bc he took so much money from them*. Do versus say? Do matters more.

Anecdotally, it looks like Alaska is purging naturalized citizens from the voter rolls, claiming that they're not American. It happened to my partner and to other people she knows. So know that when you see US gov't claims about non-citizens found on the voting rolls, know that it's bullshit.

To me, as long as Bill Hill refuses to commit to caucusing with the Democrats, it’s a very ambiguous showdown. I’m not sure that I can support someone who doesn’t understand that the GOP is an existential threat to our democracy.

#akleg I didn't have Matt Schultz suspending his campaign on my Friday bingo card. He ran a good, positive campaign and this move clears the field for a more unambiguous showdown. Vote for Bill Hill.
