Two close friends from med school are unable to start residency due to visa approval delays. A third friend is facing potential deportation after a surprise hearing on their asylum status. The Trump Administration is f’ing up these resident physicians’ future & jeopardizing the healthcare system.

I have a few more rotations to finish med school after taking time off. Was initially unready to leave the confines of being a student, but after a few days on rotation I’m feeling ready to move onto the next stage of training & get paid. It never gets easier…just different levels of hard.

I didn’t shared this here bc I have been figuring out *stuff* but I am grateful to share that I matched at Harbor-UCLA for Family Medicine residency, and have also been granted a 1-year deferral to start. I get to return home for training and will get strong, thorough training in the county system.
