Its time we accept that our governments don’t view housing as a human right. They do respect property rights, as we saw when ABC councillors expressed empathy for home owners facing negative impacts from the Villages Plan. But in the same week, renters at Myron Manor were given zero consideration.

ABC Vancouver told reporters that the Villages plan was “disrespectful”, that city staff went too far, and that they were protecting residents from the sins of bureaucracy. But who told city staff to come up with a transformative plan? Here’s the receipts.

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the horrific attack in Berlin and their families. This appalling act of violence has no place in our society. London stands in solidarity with Berlin’s LGBTQ+ community. This is why Pride matters. Those who seek to spread hatred and division will never win.

Still seething. When I say some of the people at NEWS 1130 worked their fucking asses off I mean it. Years of inadequate pay. Working holidays, early mornings, evenings, overnight, weekends. 24/7 through the pandemic. Fire seasons, snowstorms & floods. Internal politics. For this? Disgraceful.
Rogers did a similar trash mass firing when they ended Kiss FM.
One employee was driving to work when the station went off air. He heard the recorded message saying it was over. That’s how he was informed he lost his job. Some found out when other media began reporting it. These employees deserved dignity and respect & Rogers chose not to provide that.
Canada Day extreme weather brought to you by climate change, which Carney announced yesterday we can’t afford to properly fight 🤗
It’s a national holiday, but I’m working — because Prime Minister Mark Carney made what I’d argue will be one of the most consequential announcements of his time in office yesterday. Canada, under Carney, is abandoning major goals in our fight against the climate crisis. Here's what's going on:
