Sometimes i treat things like im grinding in a videogame. Like i cant run out of slots on a comm listing while the post has eyes on it cuz what if 1 person clicks the link and im sold out and they dont see when slots go back up and i MISS OUT! what if they had the coolest character!! And i MISSED IT

Time for a 10 1/2 hour shift when I just wanna be at home drawing skulls ): ): At least I only have like…. 9 shifts left before i leave this jobbbbb. Hopefully this is my last 10hr hopefullyyyyyyy

When one of my nation's chiefs, Yonaguska, was asked of what he thought of the bible he said "It's a pretty good book. I wonder why Christians aren't better people if they've had it for so long."

A happy indigenous peoples day to the ever excellent Cacique Hatuey. Christianity is a fine religion. Using it to subjugate and torture people is atrocious. www.zinnedproject.org/news/tdih/ha...

A stone statue of a Taíno male in profile view. At the bottom is the text “Before being burned alive by the Spaniards in 1512, Taíno chief Hatuey was asked if he wanted to accept Christianity and go to Heaven. He asked if Spaniards went there.
When told yes, he said he would rather go to hell. A man's final defiance.”

Sometimes I find myself fretting ‘oh fuck what if someone finds the ref image I used for this comm and recognizes it and Gets Mad At Me’ as if that’s at all realistic lol I just worry constantly How’re you supposed to draw something if you’re just guessing at what it actually looks like….

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

Today is indigenous peoples day. It is crucial to remember and talk about how there is still an active genocide against the tribal nations that were here for eons before this country colonized their land. Broken treaties and needless cruelty STILL HAPPEN. Sacred sites are under attack right now.

Hiya! Since it's almost Halloween, it's time for one of my "favorite" spooky season PSAs! Don't buy taxidermy bats! None of them are ethically sourced, most are endangered, and the market for taxidermy or freeze dried bats is descimating local populations. Etsy, ebay, curio shows, none are okay.

PSA for today in particular: the singular form of “aurochs” is “aurochs,” not “auroch.” (Related to the word “ox”). I made this mistake when writing my books till it was caught by beta readers. But today the floodgates of the typo were unleashed by someone, and the future might never recover.

One of the things I love most about watching old Wallace & Gromit shorts (not exactly high art, but arguably very much high art) is that you can see fingerprints in the surface of the characters. May all your creations have fingerprints.

The one thing I have taken away from AI is the appreciation of the imperfections in human art. Wabi sabi is where it’s at. Give me books with a typo or two, drawings with visible pencil lines underneath, and fingerprints baked into the clay.

Feels like every 6 months or so ill get So Excited at the idea of making a suit of Teo and i do a bunch of designing for it and then never do anything. I havent done any suit making really since highschool hah

Looks like the parts that are broken are mostly just the troughs for the elements and hopefully some pins and kiln cement is all i need to get this back in working order! Not gunna try to mess with it until i can actually test it out and make sure it works at all though

It's definitely seen better days though. I mean, it was free so its better than nothing but now i gotta figure out if its more trouble than its worth. Lots of broken bricks and sagging elements

I need to find more good fantasy / fiction books to get into. I havent really read much fiction since i was a kid but i recently got an ereader and ive been really enjoying being able to just read whenever

Mm i might be able to get my hands on a free Kiln heheheh Its Old and i hope it isnt super massive. And i hope it still like. Works. Cuz its been p much sitting in a shed for probably like 20 years lol....

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...

One of America’s Last Chestnut Groves Is About to Be Destroyed for a Data Center

A rare 200-tree American chestnut grove in West Virginia may be cleared for data-center development, but the project denies the site is on its land.
