UK has made political prisoners of Grannies and church folk holding signs. The UK’s slide to illiberalism is better dressed than the US version, but it’s the same trajectory.
Roads funding is a cheap dogwhistle Crumbling roads for at least 40 years if you listen to whoever is in opposition. Potholes dont get fixed by changing the government. There is an increasing marginal cost as roads get better it becomes wasteful to promptly fix that one last pothole.

Australian Farmed salmon is about as environmentally friendly as you can get for complex protein, certainly a lot better than red meat. The industry is on par with the best in the world. It's sustainable and not expansionist. If industries like this can't survive lobbyists, Australia is doomed.
