Once again i am here to muse to the void and enthusiastically talk about libraries, nothing else matters anyway.

Tbh wild anyone thought this was a good idea bc there is no overlap! The circles of the vendigram are in different time zones! I’m gonna have to explain to Patterson readers what a “mr. Beast” is! I hate it!

“Bad news for publisher HarperCollins: The book-buying subset of MrBeast fans appears to be vanishingly small. Two people close to the project say The Most Dangerous Games is on track to be a historic bomb…”

Semafor: Good news for the subset of MrBeast fans who love to read mystery novels: The YouTube giant's collaboration with James Patterson is out Tuesday, accompanied by a flurry of marketing on MrBeast channels. Read My Book, You Could Win $1,000,000, promises one short.
Bad news for publisher HarperCollins: The book-buying subset of MrBeast fans appears to be vanishingly small.
Two people close to the project say The Most Dangerous Games is on track to be a historic bomb, with preorders numbering in the four digits as of last week, a tiny fraction of what the publisher will need to justify Patterson's and YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson's hefty fees. It was at a limp #20 on Amazon's new releases list by Sunday.
Publishers chasing digital audiences is a tale perhaps as old as time, but this one will go down as a demonstration of that strategy's limits.

“There’s a new Mr. Beast book.” You bolt awake in your workshop in Mainz. It’s 1450. You’re Johannes Gutenberg, and you’ve changed your mind. The future cannot come to pass. Your printing press must burn.

Thinking about the santos betting thing and how we need to retvrn to tradition. (Making bets with your friend during your miller park tailgate on if a random girl will catch the football thrown at her and lose $5 when she does. RIP to whoever that guy was)
