Should there have been better communication from the Rose Bowl and Pasadena officials about the pool closure? Of course. But Expo Park swimmers are losing their pool for three summers — maybe more — and there's been no public communication like this from LA officials or LA28 aside from my May story

Dear RBAC Community, For more than 36 years, the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center has empowered our community with water safety skills, personal achievement, lifelong friendships, and a love of the water. As we look ahead to an exciting
new chapter, we want to share an important update with you. Beginning April 1, 2027, the RBAC will temporarily relocate its programs and operations to new locations as the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2028 ("LA28") prepares the facility to stage Olympic diving competitions in July of 2028. Our programs will continue operating in nearby locations throughout preparations for the 2028 Games and through their conclusion, with a planned return to the RBAC in Fall 2028. During this time, there will be welcomed improvements made to the facility that we anticipate including the diving tower, pools, and related mechanical systems. These would be a great
benefit to the RBAC in service of our community for generations to come. This temporary relocation is not a pause in the RBAC's mission or programs. It is a transition and an investment in what comes next. Throughout this process, our commitment remains the same: to provide exceptional aquatics programming, maintain our strong sense of community, and continue serving members
and participants of all ages and abilities. We are incredibly grateful to have early commitments with several partners, such as local schools, colleges, cities, and other nonprofit pools, whose support will help us continue serving our community throughout
this transition. Over the coming months, we will share more details about program locations, timelines, the exciting facility improvements, and the transition to new locations. We know change can be challenging, and we are committed to making this process as smooth and transparent as possible. Updates will continue to be posted
at: rosebowlaquatics.org/LA28. This is a once-in-a-generation moment for the RBAC and the local area. It is bot…

The US is governed by a racist regime. But you know that. "The State Department is making permanent a program under which citizens from 50 countries, mainly in Africa, are required to post bonds to apply for a U.S. visa, & raising the cost as well, to as much as $20,000." www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...

A draft notice published Friday in the Federal Register says a nearly year-long review “provided sufficient data” to suggest the bond program effectively enforces compliance with visa conditions, and ...

It is done. The Seven Rings of the Dwarves are in hand once more. Forged in secret long ago, given to the Dwarf-lords, scattered to time — and now found again, by those whom fate has chosen. 💎⛏️💎 ALL SEVEN ARE BOUND 💎⛏️💎

Its embarrassing how many grown ass adults live in these fantasies where people work for some nonsense like the artificial cultures oligarchs manufacture over survival.

Dumbass CEO of Anthropic thinks people should work for the "corporate mission" over survival.

NEW: Israel has imprisoned an American teen. Soldiers raided Adam's West Bank home right before his sister’s grad party. They ignored his US passport. As they took him, they blew kisses at his mom. Adam is now the second American in Israeli prison. Trump just hosted Netanyahu for the eighth time.

Israel Has Imprisoned a 16-Year-Old Palestinian-American Boy for Two Weeks

Adam Karakrah is one of at least two Americans in Israeli prison – both held while Trump hosted Netanyahu for the eighth time.

If SCREEN were to pass, you'd be required to scan your face and upload an ID to access this site because it allows "harmful" material. This affects you even if you don't care about sex work or porn.

Mike Lee's SCREEN Act, which heads to Senate Commerce Committee for markup on Wednesday, would expand age verification requirements to a nearly limitless scope of websites, and is supported by the architects of Project 2025.

SARS-CoV-2 did not come from a lab. There is no evidence pointing to laboratory origins. There’s been a massive disinformation campaign to convince the public otherwise. It’s scary how effective that campaign has been.

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

Republican power grabs in Kansas and Missouri are going down in flames with 18-25% of votes reported so far. Missouri's Amendment 4 aimed to make citizen-initiated constitutional amendments practically impossible. Kansas' Amendment 1 was designed to flip the state Supreme Court to ban abortion

In addition to having no experience in immigration, their website shows Ilya Shapiro (!) and disgraced former law prof Joshua Wright (!) as Senior Counsel. I don't think this massive contract was awarded to give immigrant children effective, zealous advocacy. burkegroup.law/our-team/

EA's annual Ebitda is around $1.5 billion, which should be enough to service the interest payments. But the publisher has told debt investors that it will cut $700 million in annual costs including $170 million in "organizational efficiencies," per Bloomberg. In other words: mass layoffs

Minnesota Governor candidate and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is being investigated for campaign law violations for giving out pillows. Fittingly, Trump recently endorsed Lindell, who, as of April, had funneled ~$250K of his campaign money for copies of his memoir From Crack Addict to CEO.

The Man Running the MyPillow CEO's Bid for Minnesota Governor
Meet Rick Weible, an election conspiracist and Mike Lindell's campaign manager. He's also the CEO of R & G Visions, a computer service company that has received more than $200,000 from the campaign, supposedly for legal services, security, and more.
