This is the sort of story that Bluesky mostly seems to ignore but I guarantee has large political ramifications in real life. Rural America is getting hosed by this administration from all sorts of angles and that won't go unnoticed. MAGA's understanding of "rural" is an exurban poser.

Centrist and establishment Democrats are just chuds with a D next to their name. They are so far out of touch with their voting base, they shouldn't even be in this party. They are pro Israel, pro cop, pro ICE, pro big business and anti trans, anti Muslim, and anti progress. They're Republicans.

The arguments against impeaching Trump next year are all bad and spurious, but they're even weaker as applied to all the other impeachable members of the Cabinet, etc. And impeaching Hegseth for literal murder should be top of the list.

We aren't in a 2008 media environment anymore where people will care about your "apology" or "sistah souljah moment". All it does is concede to the republican islamophobic narrative that you are some scary radical. You will not be rewarded for it. Trump is the one destroying this country not Piker.
