By exaggerating its cars' capabilities, Tesla is preying on seniors' fears about losing their mobility as their health deteriorates. It's unethical as well as deeply dangerous. This kind of thing that wouldn't happen in a country with credible oversight of car companies.

President Donald Trump is continuing attacks on his own U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., days after the office dropped charges in the Reflecting Pool case.
This a MAGA brand old fashioned cause of death. The modern world is the cure. Regulations, inspections and health care. Leading to a long and productive life.
"Both people who had the parasite also had underlying health issues." NYTimes: We do not understand the very basics of causality
Are you saying the DOJ withdrew that pool vandalism indictment… upon reflection?
Seems like an honest assessment pitched as a negative. The walking bathtub ring running our country needs coverage like this Joe does not.
"Joe Biden’s world has grown smaller," writes Cleve Wootson. Eighteen months after leaving the White House, Biden, 83, "moves within a narrowed circle of relatives, old friends and longtime aides as he undergoes treatment for metastatic cancer." www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...
This was some kind of net 90 payment.
President Trump has formally approved a landmark agreement with Saudi Arabia that will provide the country with a civilian nuclear program and potentially open the door to uranium enrichment in the kingdom’s territory, according to U.S. officials.
What I'm watching for: Don't be party to his claims of voter fraud but do report the hell out of them. Treat it as a big story, but not the one he wanted. The main character is the American voter, not a renegade president. For the free press we're entering a danger zone. Use it or lose it.
If you cannot make a joke without punching down, you’re not funny.
Chris ends everyday with a cordial be good to one another - and ourselves. Its nice. The world needs more nice.
Anyway, had an amazing few days mostly away from the work world with dear friends in Philly, but now I’m back in DC and will be back at it in the morning. Night, all, and let us try to be good to one another — and ourselves.
8/ "The enemy has learned from the experience in Krynky, and now the issue of "supply" is being resolved not through the use of Ukrainian marines as "cannon fodder," but through the use of technology.
In Minnesota, girls sell lemonade on the street to help their sisters arrested by ICE. Stephen Miller’s goons are very much still here. Sign reads, “Please help us raise money for my sisters because they were arrested by ICE” & this has been confirmed by trusted community members.
When someone saw a slave catcher in the area during the Underground Railroad, they would blow a horn to warn people and others would come out of their houses and blow their horns too. Just like we do with our ICE whistles We are part of a tradition of resistance and I think that’s beautiful
Folarin Balogun, who is a US citizen because he was born here, scores a go-ahead goal for the US team in a knockout game. Score one for birthright citizenship.
7/4/76 memory - I was 10 and living in Hershey PA. I remember my cub scout pack marching with my brother down Chocolate Ave in red white and blue revolutionary war uniforms made by my mother carrying a musket made from a 1x6. The tall ships on TV. And more. It was wonderful.
Narnia - This is the response I receive from one of my roommates* whenever I ask, "Where are you going?" In my case roommates are my children that are teen and older currently sharing occupancy.
This boy is the best. The paws up napping is crazy. I hope you'all are having as good a day as Sirius Brown is
“All honor to the people of Minneapolis, who, with the Trump administration at the height of its power and presumption, stood up against Trump and his army of goons, and who stood with their neighbors, for our country, and in defense of its principles.” www.thebulwark.com/p/trump-is-s...

As always, there's a sleight of hand w/Maggie Haberman's work. Here, there's almost no discussion of the way Greg Bovino had been inciting violence, often by having CBP assault protestors, almost certainly on Stephen Miller's orders. Just the detail he was removed. www.nytimes.com/2026/06/15/u...
A sad bit of accuracy, we have a gross president that cannot feel, looking any echo of happiness
He spent a good deal of time hanging out with mobsters in his casino. He’s recreated his idea of his glory days.
That’s a hell of a place to bury that revelation, but thanks for sitting on this for your book Mags
