Let us be clear stealing land and forcing people out of their homes is ethnic cleansing. Such actions are outright wrong whichever community is the victim and anyone remaining silent needs to ask themselves what they would do if it happened to a Jewish or Christian community.
Thank you for the reminders. He was a loathsome man. Why people feel the need to applaud him just because he’s died, is beyond me.
Your reminder Rod Liddle not only said he couldn't have become a teacher because he "could not remotely conceive of not trying to shag the kids" in The Spectator, but he also wrote laws banning child pornography are "absurd" in The Guardian. Abhorrent.
Interesting thread. Safe routes are a must as a start.
"People want to see this issue addressed," Prime Minister Andy Burnham said in Dover, adding: "We also need to build a system that offers safe routes for people as well, because that also takes away the selling point of the gangs." www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Cover-ups thrive when institutions know delay and denial carry fewer consequences than honesty. The Hillsborough Law could begin to change that, but closing Britain’s integrity gap means fixing donations, lobbying, and the voting system. https://www.uglypolitix.com/p/closing-britains-integrity-gap
There's something very simple that almost all of us can do about this - each less chicken and more plants.
"As the chicken population has exploded, they’ve ... become a cauldron of bacterial evolution .. that’s where new Frankenstein monster bugs emerge." Another warning that we'll almost certainly ignore until people start dying. www.theguardian.com/food/2026/ju...

Regarding the Mail's scare story (on 'death taxes', not Nadine's bikini): Example estate worth £500,000. New IHT @ 10% = £50k. But free care home for a year saves at least £1300 x 52 = £67.6k. So the inheriting family would be better off. 🤔

And, whilst doing this, has also been attacking erstwhile friendly states, making them enemies, and urging them to rearm. Which they are doing. Yes. America is declining fast - very fast - under Trump And it is wilful.
People need to step back and understand what they are seeing. After a few months of war, the USA is running out of munitions and options fighting a country with no air force, no navy and a damaged infrastructure. US decline is real and self-inflicted.

Insanity on both counts. The biggest party - shameful. Co-operating with the AfD - lunacy.
The far-right AfD is now Germany’s most popular party. One of Friedrich Merz’s closest allies says the chancellor’s centrist conservatives should break a longstanding taboo and start cooperating with them. 🔗 www.politico.eu/article/germ...
The no win scenario. I don't like bells, but for everyone who moans about a bell, there's always one who if you shout hello, will shout "where's your bell"! Strange who they rarely step in front of cars though. at least more than once anyway.
Apparently, ringing your bike bell and shouting "careful" at someone who's about to step into the bike lane without looking is "rude" now 🙄
I bet loads of those criticising her loved Boris Johnson - the fat, dishevelled slob who did nothing but sell his country down the river. Men’s appearance is never questioned though is it. So disgusting (and depressing) that we’re still doing that in this day and age
