Trans people get called extremists for saying “hey don’t watch a wizard tv show.” Meanwhile people out here literally calling for legislative bans on our existence are propped up as feminist icons. Really just shows how those who make people uncomfortable or disrupt consumption are vilified.

Not a furry but let me make something clear: a LOT of furry content is sfw. They are now going after KISSING. This puritanism is getting out of hand. What the advertisers were demanding of FurAffinity was a fucking joke. These advertisers are just scared of the unfamiliar. Oh, and queer content.

They know that we are a large, influential, largely queer, community. Fighting for the spaces owned by our community is incredibly important

But @jessiegender.bsky.social is right - think of the amount of times HBO commented on GOT leaks and downloads, just as an example. They DO track these things, and even that drives interest. Let this show die. Trans people deserve better.
I really, really hate when in true crime stuff they make a point to heavily stress if a murderer has a bipolar diagnosis. People with bipolar are not more likely to commit murder or commit any violent crime.
I also think the cultural impact of the series is used as much for Rowling's campaign as her money. If these works keep failing they could be in trouble. It's not about taking moral stance a boycott has a practical purpose But also. Give a shit about trans people. We're asking you to give a shit

The fact someone can commit sexual assault and be punished in a discrete manner so as not to “ruin their life” and then years later become a popular entity in media, causing even more trauma when the assault is revealed? If the initial punishment didn’t favor the assaulter, this’d be less common.
