Andrew Tate’s lawyer is claiming they will be executed in the U.K. Unfortunately MAGAs will believe anything so just to be really clear, there is no such thing as the death penalty in the U.K. and there hasn’t been for many decades.

This is pretty much just describing fascism, right?
It's funny that Jeanine Pirro brought a box of evidence to WH to persuade Trump. He wants her to consciously *throw out* exculpatory facts and *knowingly* prosecute innocent people. So facts can't persuade him by definition. Me and @barbmcquade.bsky.social on this: newrepublic.com/article/2139...
The beginning of this entire Moda Center city council meeting has been back-to-back corporate and institutional voices who were invited to speak first before the public. Seems like an embarrassing way to conduct a “democratic” process.
I find it troubling that in what’s supposed to be a democratic process, we’ve “invited” the perspectives of institutions supporting using taxpayer dollars for a renovation, allowing them to frame the entire conversation from the beginning while the public has to wait their turn.

NEW: DHS wants to pay private contractors bounties to hunt down people who already left the country, photograph their homes, and demand money. It told them leaving the US would wipe out fines. It was the pitch for self-deporting. Experts tell WIRED this is a pointless escalation of tactics.
DHS Is Hiring Bounty Hunters to Find and Photograph Deported People’s Homes Abroad
Homeland Security told immigrants that leaving the US would wipe out fines it claims they owe. Now it wants private investigators to find them in their home countries and collect.

The #1 reason I wanted her to lose. Not because she was "AIPAC" but because there was no way those taps were going to keep flowing against Rogers
No matter the margin the story is that Haley Stevens got $70M of support, more than $30M of it from a single organization, and still lost.
With that, I'm sure the vote counters in Michigan & Washington are going to bed and so am I. What a night. Next primaries are Thursday in Tennessee and Saturday in Hawai'i. Here's hoping Ed Case needs a new job on Sunday.
This Saturday, Hawai'i is holding their primary, which also has the best chance, so far, to remove a Trump-friendly Dem. Ed Case (HI-1, 20.8%) is facing State Senator Jarrett Keohokalole. He supports Medicare for All, is to the left of Case on immigration, and supports trans rights.
Housing Minister Matthew Pennycook has approved the controversial data centre on behalf of Angela Rayner, overruling Tower Hamlets Council and local opposition. Brick Lane local residents react:

Here's what would change for me if AI disappeared tomorrow: - I wouldn't be pestered with ads and on-site pop-ups for it - the software I use wouldn't be bogged down with bloated AI garbage I don't use - I wouldn't be forced to second-guess every image and video that comes across my feed I wish.
Guys like this don’t realize that they are the freak

Washington polls close in 15 minutes and I really hope that means Marie Glusenkamp Perez is about to have a bad night.
I think a Stevens win of a tiny <1000 margin (while NOT the outcome I want) would be the worst discourse tbh because then there is no person who doesn't know the money made the difference and anger will be high lol.
A narrow AES win is easily the worst outcome for The Discourse, right? Like, I don’t think it matters for November either way, but it matters for the sanity of the next three months
