Farm workers: there's a heat advisory across much of CA. Please be careful. Your life comes first. If your worksite is not offering WATER, SHADE, and REST - call the farm worker heat safety hotline at 1-877-881-8281. Reporting heat safety violations saves workers' lives.

Red-orange poster with a sun symbol, UFW eagle logo and text reading "Your life comes first, beat the heat," and a vibrant, colorful bird below. Energetic and warm tone.

Congrats to Prince William County Workers and SEIU Virginia 512 on voting YES to win their union. This victory adds to the growing movement of working people demanding a voice on the job in Northern Virginia and across the country. ✊ #UnionsForAll

ICE took our @seiulocal73.bsky.social union brother Josue Pire-Hidalgo after his scheduled check-in appointment and flew him out of state. Away from his children, his wife, and the students and staff of Farnsworth Elementary who rely on him every single day.

Josue Pire Hidalgo opens our schools every morning. He's Local 73. He's Chicago. He went to a scheduled ICE appointment — and they took him and his family.

BREAKING: Workers are ON STRIKE at Carl’s Jr.’s locations across Los Angeles. The owner of this franchise filed for bankruptcy. We’re doing whatever we can to ensure the bankruptcy judge doesn’t let the company off the hook for over $112,000 in wages and penalties!

Airport service workers keep this industry moving, & we demand respect. While airlines can afford to double CEO pay, they & their contractors keep workers fighting for basic needs. We won’t settle for poverty wages. Pass the Good Jobs for Good Airports Act & give us our fair share!

Today, July 10, marks one year since the brutal and chaotic immigration raid by the US DHS on Glass House Farms in Ventura County, CA which resulted in more than 300 farm workers detained by federal agents and the violent death of farm worker Jaime Alanis Garcia. 1/

UPDATE: We forced our boss to pay us the minimum wage, but they're refusing to give us a schedule, instead calling us into work DAY OF! We're back on strike, letting them know we're serious. Having already filed for $160,000+ in wage theft and penalties, we have more demands. 🧵

YUM YUM DONUTS IS: Paying below the minimum wage. Failing to pay for overtime work. Requiring unpaid work off the clock. Failing to provide accurate wage statements. Denying sick leave. Failing to keep accurate records of the hours of work. Failing to provide safe working conditions.

Recently Angelica Hernandez, McDonald's worker and Fast Food Council member, delivered a message to the company and sent a letter to the state about the reality of working at McD's, and why it’s essential law makers and enforcers don’t deny 500,000+ workers like us a seat at the table.

BREAKING: Yum Yum Donuts workers have walked off the job ON STRIKE after suffering years of wage theft and are owed over over $160,000 in wages and penalties. The company isn't even paying the $20 fast food minimum wage; we didn't know the laws till we talked to our union. 🧵 #UnionsForAll

THIS is the power of working people! More than 100k Illinois rideshare drivers just won the right to form a union through the passage of the Rideshare Drivers’ Union Bill. When workers stand together, we build the path to money, power, & respect.
