My teacher brother has just informed me that his primary school kids now refer to anything shit or old fashioned as "Brexit". Which has made my morning.

It’s a badge of honour for @bylinetimes.bsky.social to be banned from Reform and Conservative conferences - like being banned by Russia or China, it says more about them, than the journalists. Also, so ironic that the parties which waffle on about freedom of speech are the most scared of it.

In addition to being the UK's most Kremlin-sanctioned newspaper, Byline Times has now been banned two years running from both Conservative and Reform UK party conferences. Judge us by our critics, and subscribe to support our work: subscribe.bylinetimes.com @peterjukes.bsky.social

BBC re-running their headlines from 3 years ago when Sunak released 10,000 prisoners early over 6 months....oh wait, no, that went off without a media fuss. Labour are releasing up to 5,000 early over a year - due to Tory failure to build prison capacity. They only built 36 net new places a year.

Kemi Badenoch condemned Reform's ban on critical journalists covering their conference as "authoritarian", saying her own party would never do the same as "we believe in free speech. We believe in a free press." Now the Conservatives have banned Byline Times from their conference

Kemi Badenoch's Conservatives Ban Byline Times From Conference After Condemning Reform for Journalist Ban

The ban comes just weeks after the Conservative leader called Reform's barring of critical journalists from their conference an "authoritarian" attack on the free press

Pope Innocent III,who died in 1216, spoke of a certain kind of older man, who is "easily provoked", "will believe anything and question nothing", is "stingy and greedy" and "praises the good old days and hates the present." Reform UK's voter base has been knocking around for a very long time.

Barghouti: "Its the moment of the death of the 2 state solution, because the intl community allowed Israel to be impunitive.. & failed to apply intl law.. did not impose sanctions on Israel.. western govts are not only allowing Israel to commit crimes, they supported the crimes"

The rush to speculate that asylum seekers are responsible for every crime in the news is a sort of opportunistic informational terrorism. Until it’s disproved it stokes fear and hatred. When it is disproved there are no adverse consequences and they know that they only have to be lucky once.

What is particularly vile is that you can see that Farage is revelling in the notion that there may have been a terrorist attack. That's what he wants it to be. Any moral, decent person would be glad to find out it isn't - not Farage.
