When it comes to people Just Asking Questions about trans women in sports, the tactic works because too few cis people know the facts. Nobody wants to hear from trans people. The problem is the situation IS complex, but only in the way that it takes more than a sentence to explain.
Problem with running on 'affordability' as a platform is that you have to convince people that you're plausibly going to reduce prices for people and there's just... that's a hard sell, I think.
People really ought to learn to behave themselves on here.
I think about how often people think this is just about sports or something on this very site. 2.1 million people displaced due to hostile government policies and costs and it barely warrants a shrug. Very frustrating.
