I know we’re trying to balance criticism with clear minds unclouded by nostalgia but a world filled with endless crap and luxuries slowly depreciating in quality as prices rise is an observable and logical result of end stage capitalism

SCREEN Act, which would have required mandatory age-verification for sites (like this) that allow "material harmful to minors" failed to pass out of committee after thousands and thousands of people called their Senators. More work ahead!

Your voice matters and you should feel good that you made a difference. Obviously, the fight isn't over, but this was an important victory.
Call your senators even if you think you have one that will not listen. Sacrificing everyone’s privacy is an incredibly high cost. Australia had a similar law that is already showing that it doesn’t protect kids. The idea that this protects kids is a Trojan horse for surveillance on the internet
