📍Chicago Best known for getting hit by a car

Todd Blanche has been steadfast both in his support of politically-motivated prosecutions and his opposition to transparency and accountability. It is no shock that on the day the Judiciary Committee advanced his nomination as AG, his DOJ filed a brief resisting transparency and accountability.

In its brief, the U.S. Attorney's Office admits that it began having conversations with Main Justice regarding this case on Sept. 27. The U.S. Attorney admits that he received the Oct. 9 grand jury transcript on Oct. 14, but "has no recollection of reviewing the transcript at that time."

JUST IN: Chicago's U.S. Attorney's Office says a special counsel need not be appointed to look into wrongdoing in the "Broadview Six" case, and that a hearing on sanctions isn’t warranted. background: www.chicagotribune.com/2026/07/02/b...

“Americans should not be afraid to organize peaceful resistance in this moment. Those acts of ordinary people organizing and working together have been the most important force for justice in the history of our country." #Minnesota15 #Spokane3 #Broadview6

She protested ICE raids. Then agents showed up at her door

The Justice Department is using federal conspiracy charges to sweep up ICE protesters. Some legal experts worry the agency is casting too wide a net to prosecute political activists.

Holy shit. Buried in that DHS document about its desired “deportation airline” is a request for contractors to procure and maintain 1,000-bed “detention facilities” in foreign countries. Huge scoop from @charliearchy.bsky.social. www.theredoubt.net/ice-detentio...

Exclusive: ICE eyes 1,000-bed detention facilities in foreign countries

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is looking for private contractors that could help set up "international staging areas" abroad.

My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

Guys I can’t keep doing this independently. I need a job. If you know of a place—advocacy, OSINT org, think tank, left media, etc—where I could take this work in-house, pls let me know. I admire the folks making independent work for them, but I am collapsing under the weight and the lack of impact.

A few minutes ago, two ICE flights operated by Journey Aviation landed in Eswatini, likely another third-country removal of immigrants to a maximum security prison there. Nineteen people have already been sent there on previous ICE flights in the last nine months. Only two have been released.

An FR24 map showing N588AT landing in Eswatini

It's just before 9am in Chicago. Kidnappings by masked federal police continue (and continue, and continue). So far this morning, agents have been spotted in Back of the Yards and West Ridge.

So far 100% of the times ICE has claimed “he/she tried to ram us” have turned out to be irrefutably an incident where ICE themselves did the ramming, so much so that I suspect this is an internal directive and I’m surprised they’re still using it.

Video shows the moments before ICE shot a worker who lived for 35 years in the United States. It appears to show it was ICE attempting to initiate contact with his vehicle, not the worker attempting to "ram" ICE agents

As ICE captures spike across the US, re-upping this story about Habeas Flight Watch, an activist-built tool to help you know when an ICE flight is headed to your city. Can help legal teams/community members triage habeas filings, flight observations, etc. gillianbrockell.com/habeas-fligh...

Habeas Flight Watch: New tool helps track ICE flights to your city

Activists have been quietly piloting a live map of ICE flights to help immigration attorneys with habeas filings. Now they say it's ready for everyone to use.

the rise of internet gambling is arousing genuinely puritanical feelings in me and I don't like it but like, it's bad enough when you know the casino or the track always has an edge. it's worse when the house is AMONG THE RICHEST GUYS IN HISTORY AND SEES A WAY TO GET MORE OF YOUR SCRATCH

Less than four months after being found liable for building addictive design elements into Instagram, Meta is developing plans to lace its platforms with a novel gambling feature: a prediction market that could feed users an individualized stream of events to bet on.
