Black Southerners caused the Confederacy to fall and they’ve done it AGAIN. This is worth celebrating with Union songs if you’re not ignorant.

Conquered is an interesting choice of words, considering South Carolina rebelled against a lawful government in 1861 in order to keep enslaving and raping Black people. It wasn't "conquered" because it was an unlawful, illegitimate rebellion, not a fucking sovereign nation.

The southerners who organized and fought the confederates sang Union battle songs. My own ancestors in the Carolinas joined Union forces and tore up rails, burned plantation houses, and smuggled slaves and prisoners of war out of fields and camps.
