My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

I believe a desire to steer into masculinity as some kind of curative answer for previous political failures delivered us to this moment, and honestly, it could deliver us to much worse.

But by the time Klippenstein was out here calling less messy and masculine candidates "smooth groined," perhaps folks should have questioned the energy behind all of this, what was being normalized, and to what end. That's all I am asking for now—that people question what they got wrapped up in.
