Them: “People must be allowed and incentivized to pilot several thousand pounds of their personal property into downtown so they can access businesses and amenities.” No they don’t. You just made that up.
Everyone should be able to walk/bike across the street without fearing for their life. Yet Nashville continues to see pedestrians killed while crossing our roads. No turn on red is a proven step that can help prevent these tragedies. We’ve studied the issue long enough. It’s time to act.
The people have spoken. I'll see you and your babies there. (the entire city is invited.)
Truly an unfortunate time for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County to be going hat in hand to these freaks asking for money to support the kinds of things they are publicly renouncing in their official guidance 😅
The Republican war on science comes for road safety. Protected bike lanes, road diets, and automatic traffic enforcement prevent people from being killed. Researchers have proven this—repeatedly.
Really unfortunate that Nashville’s first major initiative to rebuild our streets for safety, livability, and choice coincides perfectly with these short sighted federal chuds holding the money bags
"Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Tuesday that his department would redirect $1.73 billion in Biden-era grants away from establishing “DEI bike lanes” to build roads and bridges instead." The most shallow, simplistic fuckwits to have ever lived are running the US government...

More of these concrete barrier-protected bike lanes!!
What the owner of the New York Knickerbockers is doing to his own fanbase ahead of tonight's game will replace whatever example is currently used for the "Own Goal" entry in the dictionary. As an interested but detached third-party, I can't wait to see what happens!
According to this story, Nashville is waiting on $9.3 million in federal funding to complete the East Nashville Spokes project. That is less than one typical month of CHYM revenue collection... www.tennessean.com/story/news/l...
Nashville joins lawsuit aiming to halt Trump administration's federal funding freeze

January sales tax figures are in. $67.5M in local option sales tax for Davidson County means $12.3M for transit. Through the first twelve months of Choose How You Move we've generated $168M in dedicated funding for transportation projects in Nashville.
It is a real and recurring issue that committee agendas are populated with items on which there is essentially no substantive update from city officials. This item could have been an email, or update to the project website. So grateful that the chair held some uninformed feet to fire on this one!
We asked for an update on this project at the last BPAC meeting but only received a brief presentation from Metro Legal, who said they couldn't comment on pending litigation. www.youtube.com/live/PbJ3I5Z...
@nashvilledot.bsky.social, a few days of targeted enforcement might do the trick! Go get your revenue, y’all!
Cars blocking Porter Road bike lane frustrate East Nashville neighbors
Friends! I’m in NYC until Thursday. What should I do or see?
Hot downtown cycling take: I’m fine with parents parking in the Commerce bike lanes to drop off their kids at daycare, as long as there is room for me to maneuver around and stay within the cycle track.
Check this upcoming ride out!

TN bike people! I need to say goodbye to my vintage Santana tandem. Late 90s. Campy 3x8. My daughter prefers riding her own bike now and it gets little use. It's worth something, but I mostly just want to get it to somebody who will ride it. Small kids can ride with an adapter.
What nobody is telling you about the new greenway boardwalk: it smells INCREDIBLE! Totally different aromatic experience than the ped bridge or the paved greenway below.
There are thousands of bus boys laying in wait Waiting for you to share your positive experience on the people’s limousine
By golly they’re learning
Look, I love trains as much as the next guy, but somebody has obviously been taking it too far…
It's important to remember that we want things to happen very quickly and the government does not deliver at the speed of expectations. Gallatin Pike and Nolensville Pike are still on the schedule that was presented as part of the referendum package...
On my way to tonight’s Main/Gallatin public information meeting at the East Library. My bus is more than 15 minutes past scheduled stop time, so I’ll be a touch late to the meeting 🥴

Just did the math on how much protected bike lanes / a safe bike route on Gallatin Pike would improve my bike commute: I would save approximately 11 minutes each way, making it close to time-parity with driving on a good day. The route flattens by ~30% and gets far simpler. Details below:
