BREAKING — Both chambers of the Maryland General Assembly have passed the redistricting constitutional amendment, sending it to voters in November. If approved, the measure would clear the way for Democrats to pursue an 8-0 congressional map.

If an area has more demand for car parking than it has spaces, making it easier to travel to & from that area using public & active transport is not only cheaper, more equitable & more sustainable than adding/preserving parking spaces; it's also far more likely to actually fix the parking problem.

To 'yes and' this, ill take the additional step that this prudence includes re-desigining our streetscapes to be safe, connected, and convenient to bike on. Anyone who argues that it's too big an ask to make the road network designed for bikes ignore the decades we've already done that for cars.
