It's just occurred to me that, in my pre-German days, I thought the piano piece was called 'Fur Elise'. I don't think I *ever* wondered why. Even more bizarrely, I pictured fir trees. I think this belongs with 'what nonsense have you unthinkingly chirped when singing along to pop songs'.
