jessica jonestown@newfoundgloryhole.bsky.social · 8h agoone of the more heartbreaking aspects of my childless existence is that for the first 33ish years of my life i thought i didnt want kids when what i didnt want was to be a father. it wasnt until transitioning i realized i DESPERATELY want to be a mother.
And people wonder why I've gotten to the point where I cannot fucking stand the moderate Democrat.

In other Michigan news, the state looks set to elect it's first transgender lawmaker. Joanna Whaley won her Democratic primary and will compete in November for a state house seat, beating a primary opponent who tried and failed to disqualify her for not running under her deadname

Ken Jennings stands with the trans community, except for the community members asking he apologize to the trans woman he led to public excoriation in the press.
This kinda gets to my point of why I hate people who self identity as a trans Ally. Jennings talks about how pro trans he is, while ignoring the fact he is supporting one of the largest anti trans orgs on the planet, then getting pissy and blocky when trans people, rightfully, point it out.
Pretty much this. It was the flippant reaction and then turning into a whiny little blocky bitch when people started calling him on it. That made me lose a lot of respect for the guy.
The Nerdskull@nerdskull.bsky.social · 4d agoThe dumbest thing about the entire Ken Jennings thing on here is that I think like a handful of people would have given him shit about playing Wordle if he just didn’t say anything about it, but then he basically went “I got permission from trans people to give money to the NYT. I have the pass.”
It’s becoming an increasingly unavoidable conclusion that a portion of mostly establishment Democrat electeds/pundits/consultants don’t like Democratic voters much and would much prefer to have Republican voters instead, and view their voters’ insistence on being represented as an annoying betrayal.
Despite everything that has happened in the past 3 years, I still don’t want to see Israel become a failed state. I want to see them rise above their leadership and become the example that the rest of us in the world need. If they can buck their administration, so can we.
