she/her, 40s, DC/NoVA, 🏳️‍⚧️, posting through it This is my LiveJournal. Feel free to read along, if you're chill! Enjoy the selfies! 😊 (But my posts are about me, not you. 😉💜) If you’re questioning, the answer’s likely “yes.” Time is passing either way. 🫂

I have trouble with the idea that I transitioned “later in life” 😒 1. I like to imagine I have a lot of life yet ahead of me (apocalypsi notwithstanding) 2. I still feel like I’m emotionally about 23, most days (even ignoring the Pokémon of it 🫣) but—however late you think is “too late?” It’s not.

If you have transitioned later in life, please know how deeply you are needed here. Your story is the exact proof someone else needs to finally take their first step.

a woman goes to an episcopal priest and says "i think i'm trans, i want to be pretty and demure and gay and i don't think it's a phase." the priest says "okay, but episcopalians don't do confession, and being gay or trans isn't a sin." she says "i know, and your priests are allowed to date right?"

Thinking about building a transfem anthems playlist and need recs. What songs feel like your transition, your empowerment, your euphoria, whatever "anthem" means to you right now? No wrong answers, I want to hear everything 🎵

who else up late picking at emotional scabs

Doing the first half of the audiobook of @emilystjams.bsky.social’s Woodworking all over in Libby (where my hold came in), making the little bookmarks & annotations not supported by iOS’ garbage “Books” (where I bought it, bc ‘want book now’) Anyway this’s the first Abigail part that gut-punched me
