Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.

I don't even know what to say. This is real, this is true, so, like, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. This took over 25 years to happen so if there's any lesson here it's either "keep at it, who knows" or "many people are divorced"

22 EU leaders note there was no onward movenent to Spain or the EU but worry about the perception & want an emergemcy meeting. This is an initiative of Italy & Denmark, which most support. But Portugal & France did not support or sign this letter.

Just dug out the original pitch to see how long it had taken to go from one-liner to actual book: "The one I'm most excited about is a sort of 17 inventions that made the modern city (elevator, subway, tube map, A to Z, new york's underfloor heating, skyscraper, electric cars...)"

I still find it hard to take any government seriously in their pronouncements about the economy whilst their higher education policy is effectively destroying one of the most productive - and regionally diversified - parts of the economy, just to placate racists.

Modern UK immigration law dates back to the Aliens Act 1905, specifically aimed at excluding Jewish people. We barred Jewish refugees pre-1939 & kept survivors out post-1945, whilst admitting Nazis. Churchill was a notorious antisemite, as is Farage, till recently leading in the polls. I could go on

The fact that our government is not lifting a finger to protect minorities in this country from this sort of incitement continues to be terrifying. I get they have no idea how to disentangle us from the US. That isn't an excuse, it is an indictment.
