Sometimes IT means trying to untangle nonsense Microsoft errors for hours on end, and sometimes IT means going for a nice stroll down main street with a hammer and a pry bar. (I wish the second task was related to the first.)

If you're part of the BioWare or Sims community and want to talk about how those studios' queer characters and themes have impacted you and your fears for those series moving forward after this sale, I'd love to chat with you for a Kotaku story. Can be reached here or email kshepard@kotaku.com

Well, I guess Electronic Arts belongs to Saudi Arabia, private equity, and Jared Kushner now. https://kotaku.com/electronic-arts-officially-belongs-saudi-arabia-jared-kushner-now-2000721666

some tips for actually doing this: -shitty is better than incomplete -you are the ONLY one who can do what YOU'RE doing -people LOVE seeing the artist's hand in their work, esp in the age of genAi -the more you say "this sucks," the more you believe it. the opposite is also true

when you're surrounded by what seems like everybody admitting that they feel awful about themselves, it can start to feel normal and expected that you also feel awful about yourself. but actually, it's okay to not want that! you can feel better! it takes work, and effort, but it's on the table!

"And he does, indeed, go on." When I start a rant, there's really no stopping me, and apparently I ranted enough during my chat about AI with @woodwould.bsky.social that he was able to write an entire other article about it. 😅

I'm back at work! The latest in this series of gen AI-focused articles is Dragon Age and Summerfall's @davidgaider.bsky.social mincing no words www.gamesradar.com/games/rpg/ge...

I somehow completely forgot I agreed to talk about writing to a group of 6th graders at an event this morning, but despite my basically winging it I had a blast. The things they wrote and presented were so fun and they had great questions. Kids rule.

I know it's nostalgia bait but I also haven't gotten this excited about Zelda news since the dramatic face reveal in the first Breath of the Wild trailer where for approximately 1.5 seconds I truly, genuinely thought we were about to get playable Zelda as the hero
