Spotted over I-5 in Seattle

I just repaired a broken $80 video game controller by desoldering the broken joystick off the circuit board and soldering a new $5 part onto it So I'm feeling extremely cool today 💪❤️

Shuri Castle's stone dragon pillars face each other, following the 1992 rebuild. Some scholars argue they should face forward, citing Meiji-era photos. Others counter those were taken after Japan annexed the Ryukyu Kingdom and made the castle a barracks.

After seven long years of reconstruction, Shuri Castle is reopening on November 23. Learn more about its history and how to visit.

And then Koizumi showed up and made everyone work the Three Ks

Unseen Japan@unseenjapan.com · last mo.

By the 1970s, prosperity had created a problem. Fewer Japanese wanted the jobs known as the Three Ks: kitanai (dirty), kiken (dangerous), kitsui (demanding). Japan turned instead to the descendants of the rural poor it had sent to Brazil decades earlier.

Are we sure Greg Abbott isn't secretly a Bush family member?

Dolly Parton was a shining example of giving back to the community. She invested and donated billions to developing her hometown and the surrounding areas including Dollywood. East Tennessee and the whole state wouldn't be what it is today without her. If there was a modern day saint it'd be her.

RIP Dolly. Hope you're somewhere kicking Jolene's ass. But knowing the kind of person you are, you probably baked her a pie and are settling things over a slice and a cup of coffee.

Fly High Queen 🕯️♥️ 🕊️ #Dolly

Good night, Bluesky.

Dolly, maybe more than anyone else, has defined my model of a truly good person. she is aspirational. the best thing anyone could do to honor her memory is to try and embody the kindness and care she showed for everyone, including and especially the most vulnerable of us.

Damn near lost it telling my son “She was the reason you got all those books in the mail.”
