I'm thrilled that "Othertongue", my weird horror story about disembodied alien language and a xenophobic fascist response, joins this collection of trippy, au courant horrors. I ADORE how PseudoPod rendered my "subliminal" boldfaced words in Pine Gonzalez's excellent audio. It even creeped me out!

A very special call: Over our 20 (!) years we’ve published stories from all the continents of the world, except Antarctica. We want to remedy that. We’re looking for stories between 2000–6000 words from writers who are in, have recently been to, or have plans to visit Antarctica in the near future.

Real talk (reel talk?): BWDR recently lost a partnership that covered nearly half our operating budget, so things are suddenly very tough. If what we do has ever meant something to you, or you’ve ever thought about subscribing, now’s the time—it *truly* makes a difference.

Well, we tried to stop the portal, but it looks like it’s opening anyway. Oh well. We open for submissions at midnight. Ish. Horror. Up to 6,000 words, including flash. Originals and reprints: you may submit one of each. Don’t agonise over your cover letter. Just send us a brilliant story.
