So this summer, I took up painting. Total beginner, just trying stuff. Here’s one. I call it Accident Uno - Side A. Acrylic on OSB board. About 10 x 20cm. #art #abstractart #BlueSkyArt
🧵 Dear Republican lawmakers, Canada has the largest intact boreal forest on the planet. An increasingly hotter world due to #ClimateChange makes longer dry seasons, far larger wildfires & yes, more smoke. No amount of "raking" fixes it. The scientists warned of exactly this for a very long time /1
"If Canada can't get these wildfires under control, they need to face real consequences," said Wisconsin state Rep. Calvin Callahan in a news release Wednesday. "We won't sit back while our air becomes a health hazard."

Working on a long term project to answer just how much money was spent on anti-trans political ads between 2018-2025. The numbers on Meta are pretty staggering. Matt Walsh alone spent over $8 million on anti-trans ads followed by $3.5 million by the Daily Wire and $2.6 million by PragerU.
& I so crave a simple version of commerce where I can exchange a fair price for something of value (or the reverse) & walk away without intense expectations that I'll give my time or emotion or data to someone's "transformational" Project
Being an entrepreneur/freelancer is “not for the weak”, is a sentiment I see a lot. But neither is having a crappy boss, I might counter. So what to do, if you’re struggling one way or the other?

A hunch: saying out loud that you suffer from imposter syndrome is taboo among men - especially those who dream about becoming their own boss. Because business and leadership is not for the "weak", right? So if you're feeling weak...
Working on another type of connection 👀 I think I have found a CSS cheating code "border-shape" 🤩
What about a straight line that bends when the circles get closer and stretches when they get farther. It's surely not possible using pure CSS, right? Right!? 👀 css-tip.com/bending-line/ Probably my new favorite demo, powered by the modern features. CSS is awesome! 😍
And yes - stuff does break!
One of the most consistently neglected parts of today’s user experiences is our handling of errors. We’re so busy designing the happy paths through our products that we often forget to give the same care and attention to the times when things will go wrong piccalil.li/blog/how-to-...
