Like, the demographic of "people who extremely frequently are looking up people's names based on facial identification" is cops, that's who the market for invasive omnipresent facial recognition is.
The base rate fallacy here is that while maybe a few times a year you personally are at a party where you may need to get someone's name, every single day a cop is tweaked up on coke and steroids and gurning hard to identify people with "exotic" sounding names.

Awkward? Possibly, but you could just say “I’m sorry I forgot your name” and it doesn’t require the panopticon.
