Just up there alone with your thoughts, and out of good movie options. Delta's betting SkyPicks can fix that. Its new free sports prediction game with DraftKings is made for that exact stretch of time when the safety card starts looking interesting. SkyPicks launches this week for SkyMiles members 21 and up, and it's the same setup as Delta's old Sky Hopper game: free, no deposits, and no real money on the line. I know that was probably the first thought that crossed your mind when you read that headline. 🎮 How it works: To play, log onto Delta Sync Wi-Fi, open SkyPicks, and sign in with a DraftKings account (you'll have to create one if you don't already have one). From there, you'll pick a league and a game (or set of games), then answer a mix of questions, player head-to-heads, straight-up winner picks, that kind of thing. New contests open twice a week, and you can jump into the next one mid-flight even if the actual game happens after you've landed. Top scorers, either in a single contest or on the monthly leaderboard, win a Delta gift card. MLB picks are live now, with NFL joining once the season kicks off in September. My only warning with this is that if you've never used the DraftKings platform before, be ready for them to email you about real-money betting long after you've landed. So if you think there's any chance of you developing an acute gambling addiction from this, maybe forget I ever mentioned it.

I think often about how near-gambling has primed us for this. Solitaire games that give us points. With ads for slot machine games that give "coins." So many things with the architecture of gambling that make the real thing seem both familiar and harmless.

AI art is boring not because it's limited but because it can do anything. Endless ability but no imagination. Lacking a guiding artistic spirit it’s meaningless, and as tedious as people telling you their dreams or drug experiences. Without connection or shared feeling, there's no art.
