Aaand that's a wrap on my side of the art for The Hunger And The Dusk: Book 2! I'll be sure to post out any details once I know anything more about Book 2's release and will post some more peeks at it along the way. Meanwhile, I think I'm going to just curl up in a corner and have a little weep..

Nice to see this is out but I have to say, IDW did a weird stealth release of Book 2: #4 & #5 Despite the last plan we were aware of being that it would only be the collected Book 2 once completed. 🤷 I'm so sorry I've run this book so late but it's heartwarming to see it still has it's keen readers.

So recently issue 5 of book 2 of 'The Hunger and the Dusk came out. I've been following this series since before it first came out over 2 years ago, and I love it! This issue in particular was a very satisfying payoff! Thank you @gwillow.me and @chriswildgoose.bsky.social for my fav comic.

For colorists, there are also a lot of pages online that you can use for your portfolio. Your colors might be great in a single illustration, but editors need to see if you're good at storytelling as well, at coloring a whole scene, at consistency across panels, pages, etc. (4/5)

Some thoughts after Portfolio Day and doing an artshare... If you want to work in #comics, you need sample pages. Editors and writers (probably) aren't going to hire you if you don't have sequentials (this applies to both artists and colorists). (1/5)

I drew this last year for world book day. One of my favourite things I drew last year on a whim. Merry world book day out there to the keen readers. Even if you don’t have a book and it’s simply someone telling you a story of something amazing. ❤️‍🔥

Last time I finished working as a concept artist on a film to start a book and a person from another department asked what I did while working on the book. I said a similar list to this to them. Them: “I bet it pays better than here thoug” Me: 🥹 I do love working on comics but this list is REAL.
